Tina Rocks

Hey All, Tony checking in. I am doing much better, Tina got me walking around outside today, it was so nice just to be out of my room. The fresh air was amazing, my spirits literally lifted with each breath i took. My pain is managable and walking is not too bad, we even did some stairs and i did fine. For those of you who have been to our home you know that I better be ready for some serious stair climbing. Tina has been amazing, she is sleeping here in my hospital room, taking my pee jars out, giving me sponge baths, putting my socks on, taking me for walks, her patience with me hasbeen incrediable, i feel i am the most lucky man on earth to have her as my wife. Thank you all again for your support, I read your comments several times a day and they keep me inspired to look forward and keep healing.

  1. Sponge baths & taking pee jars out! Wow, you are amazing Tina!

You & Kahne might have some competetion when grandma is around!!! I know how jealous you are of Kahne. Well, now it is your turn to get spoiled!
I can't wait for you to get out of that hospital!
Sending hippie healing energy your way!

  4. HI Tony & Tina -
I didn't know you could post either! I've been thinking about you both a lot lately. I miss you & Durango! I can't think of a more supportive community - you'll be back in the game before you know it. Still remembering drinking beer with Tina early AM before the Selway watching you, Tony, load the rafts. We both agreed how hot you were... who knew it was the start of something!?! I can't believe I've been in Sitka for 5 years now - and I always said I was coming back to D-town. Got one in the oven so it might be a while. oh boy... or girl! Hope to see you guys soon! Love, Brita

  5. Brita!! That is just so exciting...congrats!!! I remember that morning vividly as he had his top off I believe and he was drinking coffee...remember how damn cold that trip was but that we saw the baby bears? And us running through the forest shouting "Ratt-lers be gone!" waving our paddle frantically as someone told us to be careful of the snakes? Too Funny.

  7. Tina does rock....I told you the day after your injury that she is your rock and she wants to be at your side. The love you two share is very special and it shows. As you both go forward you will find challenges, frustrations, successes, and accomplishments and all of these you will share with one another through your smiles and love. Your family and friends will be there to cheer you on and help you celebrate life. We love you both! Hugs, M&D

Keep it up! I hope you really do get released from the hospital soon. You are both in my thoughts and prayers daily. I hope you got the cards I sent!

  11. tony, you BOTH rock. i am so loving tina's writing and i hope she keeps going with it, she has real talent. and she is tough and funny and so in love with you. i love the images you guys are sharing of all this, of her in your pj's carrying pee jars, of you getting out and about banged up leg and all.
and then there's YOU. you are so dang strong and positive and good and honest. and i've always felt lucky to have you as a friend, 'cause you care so much about the people around you. so now we all get to give back and care for you, and there you are excepting it with utter graciousness.
    you guys do really rock.
    love, melly

  12. Tony -

Just caught up on everything on the blog. Sound unfun to say the least, glad to see you're spirits are up and the support has been great.

Our thoughts are with you as the snow begins to pile up here in MT, and we're sure you'll find a way to take advantage of the next melt.
